A Simple Act

Today started like any other day, woke up, get ready for works, start work and my day goes on from there. Little did I know that something so simple would happen today.

It was a warm and beautiful morning and I did not want to be stuck in the house at all so I decided to take the little boy that I nanny for a walk and we invited one of his friends to come along.

The walk was great and the conversation that was shared between the other mom and I was something that I needed this morning.

While on our way back there was this old lady who stopped us to ask if she could use one of our phones to call her husband to come get her. She has been waiting out in the hot sun for about an hour but she forgot her phone at her house. The mom pulls her phone out while I was reaching for mine to let this lady call her husband. While she was trying to remember what his phone number way she was getting embarrassed because she just couldn’t remember it and was getting a little worried.

After she was able to get to get a hold of her husband relief just filled her body and you could see it in her eyes. The did this little act of looking up at the sky while putting her hand together and saying “thank you God”.

As we made our way back home I just couldn’t stop thinking how God puts us others paths to help them in that moment of their lives.

I have had many of these moments where God has placed someone in my life this past year when I just really needed someone. Whether it was a simple text from someone back home asking me how I was doing or a lovely people from the ward reaching out to me for dinner or just to talk.

I look back at everything that I have been through and it has not been easy but the only way that I have been able to get through it was because of the people that God placed in my life at that moment that I truly needed someone.

It’s just a reminder that God see’s and know what we are going through. He cares and wants us to love life while losing our self in him.

I hope you all have a wonderful week and may God bless you!
